Friends in Kneed encourages young athletes to support one another through sharing their experiences in a forum, while learning about their injuries and how to prevent future injuries during the rest of their athletic careers. It gives athletes a community and a support network to let them know that they are not the only ones in their situations and that there are other athletes that are going through and have been through the same process. Friends in Kneed creates a student athlete knee-rehabilitation support group that in the future hopes to provide other injured athletes in financial need with aid for knee-related operations and proper rehabilitation.

Hope everyone is doing well! I’ve been working hard in the gym and on the field to prepare for my last season of school soccer this fall! This past season we won our state championship, so I’m hoping to lead my team to another championship next February! Keep working hard and do what you love!

The years I’ve put into recovering have finally paid off… This past weekend my school’s varsity soccer team won the state championship in Houston, TX! What an amazing feeling… WOW. By far my favorite moment was carrying a girl on my team who had recently torn her mcl onto the field to celebrate in the championship game. It feels good to know that the smallest things make the biggest difference. I’m confident that all of you athletes out there can achieve great things, just keep working and you’ll get there! -Kris22
