I had my reconstructive surgery 8 months ago and am still walking with a slight limp and have a lot of discomfort and tightness in my knee. I was doing really well at month four, starting to run and building back my muscle, but then I pushed too hard and developed tendonitis. I had to stop my rehab for a month and during that time lost most of the ground I had gained. I recently got back into pysical therapy and my appointments could not have been more disappointing. Instead of actually running I’m water running in the pool every morning with a ton of old people. I can tell I’m making progress and my muscle tone is slowly coming back, but it’s been 8 months and I’m still so weak. It’s hard to imagine ever regaining my old active, competitive life again. I feel like I’m being forgotten and with a new season that I’m not a part of I’m just getting really down about the whole thing. Has this happened to anyone? Start off really well and then lose progress?
